Ag Science- FFA Credit Program
All students at Minarets participate in Agricultural Science classes. We are a school and community that believes in agriculture as a means to learn about science through hands-on learning opportunities and academic research. Through participation in Agricultural themes and concepts our students are exposed to rigorous learning in biology, chemistry, business, sustainability, public speaking, scientific research, and more. In addition to learning in the classroom, our school is committed to developing well-rounded, young professionals who participate in competitions, community service, and work experience to broaden their horizons. While focusing on these areas, we have developed the FFA credit system that is part of each student’s academic performance rating. While not the largest percentage in the gradebook, these activities make up a portion of how students are assessed because we expect that they participate in a variety of ways. This comprehensive list of activities represents all of the activities that are open to students to earn their mandatory points.
