November 30, 2022 Dear Chawanakee Unified Families,
We are pleased to inform you that all schools in the Chawanakee Unified School District will be implementing a new program from the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2022-2023 School Year.
Effective, November 27, 2022, all of our schools participate in the CEP program. Our Nutrition Services Teams continue to provide one nutritionally balanced breakfast and lunch each day at NO CHARGE for all students enrolled during the 2022-2023 school year. This communication is a requirement of the CEP program. You, your child, or children will not experience any changes as a result of this transition.
